Abstract

This article aims to discuss the creation and maintenance of the Experimental Health Unit (UES) of São Paulo. It is an institution for the admission of young authors of infractions act diagnosed with personality disorders and/or dangerousness. Based on the Agamben's concepts of homo sacer and State of Exception and some Foucault's notions, such as disciplinary technology, dangerousness and state racism, this paper examines how the lives of young people who have committed illegal acts have been conducted, in contemporary. Therefore, it uses materials of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo (FSP), from 2010 to the first half of 2015 and updates the status of the UES. In this sense, it is understood that the UES reactive subjection techniques and incarceration of people, judicialize considered unworthy lives. At the same time, prevent new forms of intervention and treatment are developed and implemented to these young people.
