Abstract

This study aimed to identify the evaluation of relatives of users of a Psychosocial Care Center for the care provided. The study included 15 families with an average age of 53 years, 11 women and four men. A Semi-Structured Interview Guide was used to investigate the user's path by psychiatric services, the family's assessment of the activities offered at Caps, strengths and barriers in the provision of care by the staff. Was conducted content analysis of the interviews and the emerging categories were: difference between Caps and other services, family participation in Caps, user improvement after treatment in Caps, family burden and suggestions for improving the service. Respondents, mainly women, highlighted the role of the team as promoting the improvement of the user, while understanding that there are barriers to overcome, such as the physical space and the lack of spare beds.
