Abstract

The article reports the experience gathered in 2015, in the mandatory and supervised psychology internship. The field study was carried out in a Psychosocial Care Center (Caps), in Goiânia - GO, based on the observational method. It was identified a demand related to the care of family members of Caps users, being developed intervention of psychoeducational groups with this public. The objective was to provide a space for the exchange of experiences, information and elaboration of the anxieties of family members regarding the care processes. The theoretical-practical experiences and reflections provoked by the experience enabled the recognition of resistance and advances in the field of psychosocial mental health, highlighting the importance of welcoming the demands of family members and the potential of the psychoeducational group in the process of confrontation and co-responsibility in mental health.
