With the recent publication of the correspondence between Carl Jung and Erich Neumann, Elisabeth Roudinesco resumed the controversy over Jung's position on anti-Semitism. In reference to Zur gegenwärtigen Lage der Psychotherapie (1934), Roudinesco argues that the content of this correspondence does not contradict Jung's alleged anti-Semitic tendency, and examines the consequences of what she calls the infernal psychology of peoples. Given such a context, to approach the political dimension in Jung's thought seems to echo issues and difficulties that are still quite contemporary. Could the dimension of the collective, to which Jung's political thought is sometimes reduced and always associated to, tell us something about the emergence of a political subject? In this sense, we propose to explore how the acknowledgement of the collective sphere outlines political action.
