The experience report presented herein was a workshop that was based on the reading of Room of Eviction: diary of a favela, by Carolina Maria de Jesus. The workshop's methodology included the following steps: 1. Previous guidance to participants. 2. Setting the scene. 3. Warming-up. 4. Main activity: experience of the seasons. 5. Closing. The material used were specific objects that referred to the book, as well as various materials for assembling the stations. Eighteen members of the study and research group about Power, Culture and Collective Practices (Gepcol), from the areas of psychology, pedagogy and geography, aged between 22 and 50 years old. The group was composed mostly by women, some of them self-declared black people. The present study focused on two of the stations held in the workshop: Carolina as a woman and the Political Scenario. From a decolonial perspective, this study sought to bring to the academic context languages and formats for the production of knowledge that have historically been excluded from the spaces of representation and power, both in science and in politics.
