Resumen

MISSIO, Joana et al. "Crazy Life": experiences of youngsters in contexts of exclusion and violence. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2020, vol.15, n.2, pp. 1-16. ISSN 1809-8908.

This article addresses a qualitative research of longitudinal character, in which five youngsters who were from an Open School participated. They starred a documentary, in 2012, in which they talked about their experiences, and after four years they were contacted for the second stage of the study, carried out through semi-structured interviews. Thus, it aims to understand the crossings of the "Crazy Life" style in their trajectories. The results point to elements that seem to characterize the "Crazy Life": violence, own language, troubled relationship with police. Further more, the youngsters manifested desires and life projects belonging to a "non-Crazy Life", concerning stability and security, such as constituting family and being employed. The "Crazy Life" is highlighted as a "social inclusion in reverse", as well as the importance of the ethical commitment on the part of the professionals and researchers in understanding more reflective and less exclusive perspectives.

Palabras clave : Social exclusion; Youth; Lifestyle; Social identity; Violence.
