Abstract

SANTOS, Bruno Vieira dos. Youth, political activism, public policies and the mess that is to joint all of this. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2020, vol.15, n.2, pp. 1-14. ISSN 1809-8908.

This article is an excerpt from a postgraduate research in Psychology that highlights the relationship between youth and politics. We aim to trace the relationship between youth and politics and how this relationship is antagonized with the notion of adultocracy/adultocentrism. Throughout this writing, we established a possible guideline that can be incorporated into research, projects and government actions aimed at youth, which is the need to be understood not only as a subject of rights, but an actively political subject. And, also, we emphasize the need for the intersection between youth and other social markers (such as gender and race) in the construction of public policies.

Keywords : Youth; Public policies; Activist movements.
