In this article we analyse the subject and collective concepts present on Music Therapy publications that adopt social and community perspectives in Latin America. We analyzed eighty five publications selected through an integrative literature revision. Our results evidenced, in one way, oriented conceptions by a social and historical literature of the subject and the collective and, by another way, some orientations that come from subjectivists and individualized perspectives to think these same categories. We considered that the conceptions of subject and collective guide and (de)limit the practice of Music Therapy in social and community contexts in Latin America and they are presupposition for the construction of theorists marks. Finally, we argue that music can mediate meetings capable of promoting partition spaces and so, contribute on the overcoming process of social inequality conditions, violence and diverse vulnerabilities.
