Abstract

FARIAS, Ana Gabriela Machado de  and  VASCONCELOS, Michele de Freitas Faria de. Snail Threads: Women Dancing Their Own. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2020, vol.15, n.4, pp. 1-15. ISSN 1809-8908.

The present work proposes the composition of a body-writing through narratives of women who dance, rehearsing other modes of existence from their gendered, feminine bodies. The research field emerged from the encounter between a researcher and dancer and women in a dance show where the sign woman is small and we perform to multiply and desecrate gestures, language, senses. Taking cartography as a methodological clue, we understand the research activity as an accompaniment of ongoing processes, of subjective drifts. We followed, then, from that field, the invention of a body that revolves in its own history in the face of the marks that were imposed on it and constitute it; in a dance of itself, it broadens sensibilities, transmutes and is produced in the illocalizable. In this experimentation, art and clinic appear articulated and emerging from a common plan.
