Abstract

This article aims to analyze the perspective of women on treatment in a Psychosocial Care Center Alcohol and Drugs. It's a qualitative study, whose data collection occurred from April to September 2017, through semi-structured interviews with 14 women undergoing treatment in a Caps-AD in a city in the interior of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data obtained, which were arranged in two categories: Interfaces that permeate "being a woman" under treatment in Caps-AD and women's Representations of Caps-AD. The first elucidates the context of treatment before an environment of masculine hegemony. The second reveals the perceptions about Caps-AD, viewed biomedically, but evaluated as a support. As conclusion, the need for these services to be organized in order to accommodate particularities of gender. It was recognized, as strategy that can favor connection to treatment, the care by female professionals.
