Abstract

LEAO, Adriana; TANO, Bruna Lidia; JACOB, Douglas Gonçalves  and  PIMENTEL, Karine dos Santos. Obstacles to the Production of Care for Alcohol and Other Drugs from the Perspective of Mental Health Workers: Preludes to the Current Scenario?. From 2016 onwards, divergent political directions have been observed in relation to care guided by community-based and territorial psychosocial care. Given the guidelines for network care and the contradictions in the conduct of policies, we ask ourselves about the challenges in the production of care for users of alcohol and other drugs. In this study, we aimed to understand the main obstacles to care in a Psychosocial Care Network (PCN) within the Health Unic System, from the perspective of mental health workers. Guided by Content Analysis, two central themes were present: the stigmatization around users of alcohol and other drugs and the presence of Therapeutic Communities in the Psychosocial Care Network. The results pointed to a setback process and possible dismantling of PCN as recommended, since the theme of Therapeutic Communities was transversal to the analyzed results.
