SIMBINE, Alexandra Justino  e  MASSINGUE, Maria Salomé. Perception about the Sexuality of Disabled Women × Mozambican Cultural Beliefs. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2021, vol.16, n.4, pp. 1-11. ISSN 1809-8908.

This article aims to understand how women with disabilities and society perceive the sexuality of this woman, in a culture in which traditional beliefs permeate the causes of disability. To carry out this study, interviews, direct observation and narratives of women with disabilities were used. Twenty-four participants were interviewed and observed, divided into two groups: ten female participants with disabilities, aged between eighteen (18) and forty-five (45) years; and 14 participants who lived with people with disabilities or not, from the age of 18, of both sexes. The data analysis was qualitative in nature, exploring the information collected in comparison with what other authors had already mentioned. As a result, it was observed that women with disabilities live an experience characterized by discrimination, violation of their human rights, lawsuits and social limitations that prohibit them from fully enjoying their sexuality and their sexual and reproductive rights.
