The article is part of an investigation but comprehensive of the authors, in him the impact is approached that has for a family the diagnosis of an illness like the cancer in one of its members. We intend exactly to describe what it passes in that primary group, since one receives the diagnosis, what behaviors they assume with relationship to this and the correspondence among the changes foreseen by the group product of the illness and those that are really happened in the family. We find that they are mostly the spouses those that received their couple's diagnosis in our means, with general reactions of anxiety and sadness. The behavior but it frequents it is to corroborate the diagnosis and the sick person presage with the same specialist that assists him and they are corroborated in the practice the changes that the family prevé from the beginning of the process of family crisis. We consider that this information is valid so that the integral work that she/he should carry out the primary team of health (doctor and nurse of the family) it is able to be more effective in the measure than it directs its actions to key points of the family dynamics.
