This report intends to share the experience of two psychology students of the São Marcos University, working in the Welcome Shelter for refugees in São Paulo, a partnership of Cáritas Arquidiocesana de São Paulo and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In six months of professional acting, we helped the team to develop a new kind of service, offer the users to experience ArtTherapy on the wating room of the Welcome Shelter. We could verify these activity effects by interviewing the professionals and the users, and find out that it’s a quite appropriate strategy to the Mental health Program for refugees in São Paulo.
