The analysis area is the free time in the neighbourhood. This is understood as a source of social influence, as a generating procedures stage and roles. The neighbourhoods have not only physical demarcations, also presents certain degree of homogeneity. The study centers his attention in the way of life, whose components are the material support, the system of relationships or social practices and the social meaning systems. The Free Time, to be an expression of the way of life, behaves its differentiationes. The study is accomplished in three high contrast neighbourhoods in the city of Puebla, Mexico, apply questionnaires, observation-participation and structured interviews. The results give a profile of the type of population that inhabits in each neighbourhood, distinguishing the various forms in which the free time is experienced in each analysed way of life.
