The yield of the various fields of action of Psychology within the years of 2000 and 2001 was the aim of the present study. In view of fulfilling it, the study team made a review of psychological knowledge fields published in popular magazines, i.e., of wide national distribution, and scientific magazines, journals of Psychology. Three popular magazines were selected, for comparison, with 777 articles analyzed, as were 13 scientific magazines with yours 529 articles. The research concludes that the Social Psychology field was privileged, both in popular and scientific magazines. With popular magazines, the reasons lie in identifying with the reader, making him part of what he reads, thus boosting the magazine’s sales. In the case of scientific publications, it occurs that they serve as output vehicles of a specialized yield born mainly of master’s degree and doctorate’s programs.
