Abstract

SOARES, Marcela Amorim  and  CINTRA, Maria Elisa Rizzi. The Playback Theatre as an educational proposal. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2006, n.8, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1870-350X.

This research was elaborated based on the practice of a group of many art educators working as museum educators in exhibitions. It aims to propose the usage of the Playback Theatre (by Jonatahn Fox) techniques by some art educators. Resources for this research’s elaboration were found in the Psychodrama theories, especially in Playback Theatre techniques, considering that it may help art educators to be able of conduct the tour’s educational approach in a better way. This research was also based on the Triangular Proposal for Art Teaching (by Ana Mae Barbosa), a complex approach witch puts together art appreciation, contextualization and art production. Observing visitors in a museum, it was noticeable that the museum educator responsible for one group did not achieve to stimulate people to participate, and to use their creativity. The results of the reflections about this kind of situation pointed out to the need of creating new ways of acting and approaching the visitors. Playback Theatre can help to create these new ways when used as an educational tool.
