This article is about the Tutorial Education Program (PET), an overall program financed by Secretaria de Ensino Superior (SESu) from Ministério da Educação (MEC). PET supports extra activities in order to improve the graduation system in Brazil.Since its creation, the Program has passed through many structural and ideological modifications due to historical changes which have occurred in the University. The aim of the Program is the development of actions that promote a qualified and wide formation of the students involved directly or indirectly with the Program, through teaching activities, research, extension in correlated areas avoiding early fragmentation and specialization.Besides, those activities, referred above, allow an exchange of knowledge between society and the accademic area, promoting a social transformation and an improvement of scientific knowledge.In this context, PET PUC - SP has been doing activities that search for the achievement of these goals.
