Abstract

GUTIERREZ, Denise Machado Duran. Subjetividade e cultura no Amazonas. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2006, n.8, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1870-350X.

Surpassing the fragmented view of a psychology that reduces things and is not critical, that understands identity and gender as essential elements connected to human nature and that has its locus in the inner part of the individuals and in biology; the notions of gender, as social construction, and identity, as dynamic entity, consisting of social relations contribute to increase the importance of analyzing man in context and in interaction in a social-historical view. Assuming these concepts, our reflection focus on thinking of the amazonense man and woman looking for apprehending the possible relations among existing elements in the constitution of his/her identity, gender relations and elements that mark his/her history, culture and forms of social-familial organization. In order to accomplish this we will enrich our speech by presenting and discussing some research results concluded recently in an area of invasion in the urban region of Manaus, inside the project CNPq - PNOPG.

Keywords : Gender Relations; Identity; Familial Organization.
