Resumen

The present research searched the perception of the employment agencies, understood as the mediators between labor and job market, as for the difficulties found to outplace 40 years old or more professionals. It accomplished a rising close to the 40 employment agencies, located in the city of Jundiaí, Campinas and São Paulo, starting from a questionnaire elaborated by the own authors. The results demonstrated that in spite of the older professionals are understood as prepared for the job market, they have a lot of difficulties to be outplaced, mainly in reason of the companies privilege a young and cheap labor, and the few outplacements don't contemplate those workers' expectations as for wage, benefits or work conditions. It was concluded that these professionals' outplacement is not conditioned to the professional little qualification, but to prejudices and the reduction of costs on the part of the business organizations.
