This work has like objective verify the conceptions of teachers about the paper of the educational psychologist. They participated of the study 14 teachers of schools of the private net of education of Teresina-PI, to the which will apply questionnaires are driven. The facts aim conceptions grouped in four categories about the function of the educational psychologist: “solve problems of education-learning”, develop work interdiscipline, subsidizing professors and family it understand it deal with behaviors and difficulty of learning; check teachers that do not know its function. Despite of the facts will reveal conceptions approached around the paper of the educational psychologist, concern the accounts that the consider fiscal of the action of the too teachers, seen that compromises the action interdiscipline, distorting his essential function of subsidize-the, contributing for improve the quality of the education and promoting the citizen formation.
