We present a research made with men in São Luís-MA, that has pretended to discuss the main features of male identity in the postmodernity. The research was made in 2001 with thirty men who have answered a quizz having opened and closed questions. Like subsidy to think about this, we are describing the constructions of male and female rules through the social and historical contexts, focalizing the female movements and its repercussions for the western men.
