This research intends to characterize the expression of gender psychologic violence in families living within a rural context. It is based on a descriptive study. The data collection is supported by particular instruments and methods (interviews, observation, and questionnaire). It is worked out with 12 rural families from Santa Clara municipality. The results show the presence of manifestations like threats, rights and functions limiting, offences and possessive attitudes deeply marked by the gender factor. Some specific social and psychological determinors are stated as inappropriate educational styles as well as poorly effective in the emotional autorregulation and poorly developed communicative skills, among others. Finally, some recommendations addressed to open new research perspectives are offered.
