This descriptive study analyzes the quality of life of patients with renal insufficiency under renal dialysis treatment. Patient’s variables included sex, age, time of treatment, professional work, education, marital status and desire to carry out transplant. Quality of life was assessed in terms of the WHOQOL-Bref as well as a socio-demographic questionnaire. The work involved 60 patients, 61.7% female, from 21 to 84 years old. Social relations and psychological domains of quality of life presented higher scores, followed by the physical and environmental domains.  The results showed a drawback in quality of life, reflecting a physical dimension jeopardize in patients in renal dialysis.
