This article aims to describe the experience in developing and implementing an eletronic instrument  which can classify the emotional  complexity of patients seen by a psychology  departament in a hospital. The methodology used is the report of the experience. The developed instrument make psychological care faster, assures the assistance in severe emotional cases while hospitalized, benefits the communication amongst the multiprofissional team, contributes in controling institutional risks and also helps to plan psychological care. The results demonstrate that it is possible to better manage the energy and human resource, enhance the communication among the multiprofissional team and clarify the performance of psychological departament in the recorded cases.
