As fever is a symptom that lets us understand that the immune system is mobilizing its defenses in order to preserve the virus, bacterium or any other agent that tends to attack the body's health. In a similar way we try to put the reader The War of the Worlds as a symptom that operated in the social body. What tells us this symptom? Of how human beings know and the way they communicate. It happens that both knowledge and communication need to be designed scientifically, which leads to the theorizing. A theory is a tentative to think about how things work. There is a moment where the reality of the facts giving ground to the theories, it is the moment where a theory in crisis. Precisely, War of the Worlds gives us reason to think that the theories of knowledge and communication have come into crisis. At work we have also developed tried to outline a new theory of knowledge and not based on certainties but on a provisional knowledge, that can never ignore everything about subjectivity. With regard to communication we have tried to dwell on a concept we call: Misconception. Finally, we describe how the new theory influence the practice of social communication, a right which is not attributable to professional journalists, but to every citizen by their very status as such, which has led to a new law called : Right to information .-
