This paper explores various motivational and emotional aspects involved in eating disorders, with a predominantly cognitive approach. First, we recover the conceptualization of these disorders and then of the analysis itself we outlined considerations for intervention. Finally, we analyzed the positioning of health professionals with this disorder. It is expected that the proposed analysis to facilitate the adoption of new positions to address eating disorders, both preventive and therapeutic.
