This article intends to present aspects related to the senses and meanings given to work by people living on the streets. This problem is growing not only in large urban conglomerates, but also in Amazonian cities in developing countries. It was observed between this segment of the existence of positive meanings and senses with respect to work, despite the extreme conditions of poor health and exclusion. The interviewees showed up and were recognized by some trade or skill that marked their identities so far, attributed sense and meaning to the work of achievement, entertainment, health and dignity. The class job can be considered as a driving force for social inclusion and health promotion. Note also that the observations of how these aspects are essential to the implementation of public policies more effective and sensitive to the reality of this population.
