The United Nations (UN) in its report for 2010 notes on the economic, geopolitical and health from climate change. The UN believes that future wars will by conflicts over the management of natural resources. In this sense, psychological studies have identified sustainability of water supply as the essential cause of local conflicts. This study aims to explore the dimensions of conflicts between authorities and water users in water service demarcation of Mexico City. A sample of 10 press went analyze, using an index of media coverage, seven and nine strategies users of authorities around the shortage of water. The results show low water mediation of conflicts and from these findings, we discuss the print media coverage in reference to government strategies and citizen facing the problem of water shortage.
