Abstract

Components that make up the International Student Survey University (Diener, 2001) were analyzed with a sample of students from Mexico and Brazil, in addition to identifying the elements of subjective well-being that differentiate. 3768 students from five universities in Mexico and Brazil participated, distributed mainly aged between 18 and 26. The results obtained agree with those reported by Diener, Suh, Lucas & Smith (1999) with respect to subjective wellbeing is composed of overall satisfaction with life and the balance of the affections. We conclude that students described themselves as satisfied with life and with a positive balance of affects.
