Introduction: Although it is set up as an extremely important issue with regard to quality of life, menopause is still neglected social event and carries the stigma of being aging marker. In attention to the sexual health of women need to be provided detailed information on the various aspects of this new stage of life. It is a major challenge for primary care diagnosis and treatment guided by the sexual complaint of psychological and biological background. Often it is just a one-off intervention that can minimize the psychological impact of physical, biological and behavioral effects on women's sexuality in the climacteric stage. Objective: To analyze the contribution of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the resumption of female sexual desire in climacterium and describe a proposed regimen of CBT intervention in sex therapy in women in climacterium. Methodology: Literature review on sexuality in the climacteric and Description of Sexuality Workshop in Climacteric in outpatient gynecology Basic Health Unit Ana Vilar Cantalice Family in Campina Grande - PB. Results: Although still seen as taboo, female sexuality needs to be addressed within a participatory methodology, emphasizing the biopsychosocial aspects. The experiment described features of these aspects and we observed that women in climacterium require space to circulate speech. Some reports indicate the desire of redemption of sexuality, as well as search for alternatives for dealing with problem situations. Conclusion: The use of this workshop methodology brings a very significant contribution in relation to health promotion to address sexuality in the climacteric, allowing women the knowledge of the body and the symptoms inherent in this phase.
