The puberty and the middle school studies represent a watershed in the human evolution changing the climate structures family and parenting style. The objetive was validate a scale item response theory to measure the perception of the parents about their parenting self-efficacy regarding violence in middle school in the Sonora State. The sample was of 1730 randomly selected parents. It was calibrated with Rasch analysis, meeting the criteria of internal and external adjustment. In factorial exploratory analysis threw a single dimension. The confirmatory analysis showed a 0.959 CFI in the RMSEA is 0.099, and the RMR was 0.0338. The score that threw the confirmatory analysis were found inside of the acceptable metric ranges except the RMSEA that found a little higher that the range.
