The article proposes a discussion about the challenges for the constitution of a thought pertinent to Latin America. Although there is a predominant behavior linked to the disregard of our specificities, only a thought that takes them into account can be adjusted to what we have been. Through the example of a existing psychoanalytic analysis, the article highlights part of the difficulties involved in the development of one's own thinking and, more specifically, of a psychology adjusted to Latin American reality.
