Abstract

AZEVEDO, Maria Beatriz; ALVES, Marta da Silva  and  TAVARES, Júlia Rita Ferreira. Abuso Sexual Intrafamiliar em Adolescentes e Suas Reflexões. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2018, n.30, pp. 7-25. ISSN 1870-350X.

Domestic violence or domestic violence against children and adolescents represents every act of omission committed by parents, relatives or guardians against children and adolescents that is capable of causing physical, sexual and psychological harm to the victim. It implies, on the one hand, a transgression of the power, duty and protection of the adult and, on the other, a restraint of childhood, that is, a denial of the right that children and adolescents have to be treated as subjects and individuals in a peculiar condition of development . This domestic violence, besides spreading physical and psychological violence, results in even more harmful violence for adolescents, which is the sexual abuse propagated by their parents, stepfathers, grandparents, uncles and brothers. Sexual abuse is a present form of domestic violence, usually kept in silence, masked by revolt, by the conspiracy of feeling impotent, passive and submissive. In this way, sexual violence is also considered a multifactorial factor, that is, of public health. This study aims to bring an alert through a primer developed by the students, aiming at reaching various groups of professionals such as doctors, teachers, psychologists, the general population and the adolescents themselves.
