KIRCHNER, Luziane de Fátima; REIS, Maria de Jesus Dutra dos  y  QUELUZ, Francine Náthalie Ferraresi Rodrigues. Behavioral intervention in women with Fibromyalgia: clinical significance and reliable change. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2019, n.32, pp. 157-167. ISSN 1870-350X.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of 20 sessions of intervention in analytic-behavioral on stress, anxiety, depression, social skills and disability of pain in women with fibromyalgia (n=4). The effects were measures by clinical significance and Reliable Change Index (JT Method, Jacobson & Truax). All participants answered self-report instruments to assess the variables and had the cortisol measured when awakening. After the intervention, we conclude that the sessions were effective, with positive changes in the scores of all instruments. However, no change in the cortisol response on awakening were found. Implications for future studies are discussed, for example, the importance in conducting evaluations using direct measures, beyond the self-report, to identification of clinical significance.

Palabras clave : clinical significance; chronic pain; behavioral intervention; fibromyalgia.
