Abstract

PEINADO, Laura Daniela López. Healing meetings, performing the tasks of Latin American psychology for liberation. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2020, n.33, pp. 1-10. ISSN 1870-350X.

This research takes up the tasks of Latin American psychology claimed by Martín-Baró (1998) to make a contribution to the construction of peace in Colombia. For this purpose, a methodological strategy was designed, implemented and analyzed: "Healing Meetings, which promoted awareness and reconciliation processes between young ex-combatants and young people in rural areas, based on the narration of their life stories and collective artistic creation, using community radio and photography as an artistic tool through 9 meetings. The strategy promoted reflection processes - action on everyday life, materialized in sound and visual pieces created by young people. The results show that recovering memory, deideologizing everyday life and enhancing the virtues of young people from guiding questions and collective artistic creations promoted awareness and reconciliation processes, promoting the participation and organization of young people to recover local power.
