PALMA, Cristian. Recover the legacy of Martín-Baró: Social War Psychology. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2020, n.33, pp.53-65. ISSN 1870-350X.

This article is an attempt to identify, begin to develop and recontextualize some of the central lines of work that could accompany psychological praxis in the current historical moment. Based on the same lines raised in the book "Social psychology of war, trauma and therapy", by Ignacio Martin Baró, it is proposed to clarify some central concepts, such as: sociopolitical violence, psychosocial trauma, psychological warfare, resilience, grief; Likewise, it seeks to place in the current regional context the development of lines of research in social psychology of war, such as: psychology of torture, psychology of forced disappearance, psychology of forced displacement and psychological effects of sexual violence. It is expected, at the end of this tour, to have made a contribution to resize the place of psychological praxis in our societies, based on an ethical and political commitment from the awareness of our socio-historical processes and the commitment to the transformation of structural and historical conditions that subdue our peoples in the cycle of violence

Keywords : Liberation psychology; sociopolitical violence; psychosocial trauma; resilience.
