Abstract

BONILLA, Andrea Stefanía Sierra. Liberation Psychology and feminism: The power of an encounter. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2020, n.33, pp.89-93. ISSN 1870-350X.

In this article I propose to tell how Ignacio Martín Baró inaugurated a psychological current, the Liberation Psychology, with characteristics that we can perceive today proper to feminist psychology. In necessary times of deconstruction, activism and decoloniality, Latin America and the Caribbean feed on these two currents. Thus, our praxis are located in the work with women, communities y subjectivities. In this way, I do not pretend more than incite to think other scenarios, those where the liberation of the people goes hand in hand with feminism to achieve true social justice.

Keywords : Liberation Psychology; Feminism; Social justice.
