Abstract

SOUZA, Grazielle Cássia Alves de; SILVA, Jhonmelle Vale da; JUNQUEIRA, Priscila  and  QUELUZ, Francine Náthalie Ferraresi Rodrigues. Relations between sexual satisfaction and quality of conjugal relationship in undergraduates' women. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2020, n.34, pp. 133-141. ISSN 1870-350X.

The present study aimed to: (1) evaluate the sexual satisfaction of women and their perception of the quality of the marital relationship; (2) verify if there was a correlation between these two variables and also with the age and duration of the marital relationship. Fifty-one undergraduate female participated in this study, with an average age of 24 years (SD = 5.3), varying between 20 and 40. The Sexual Quotient - Female Version, the Marital Relationship Scale and the Questionnaire to characterize the sample were used. Most participants assessed their marital relationship as satisfactory. Regarding the correlations between the instruments, it was observed that all results correlated with each other, except dyadic satisfaction with total sexual quotient. The magnitudes were high or moderate. It can be concluded that there is a greater probability of sexual satisfaction being related to factors such as: expression of affection, cohesion and adjustment in the affective relationship.
