Abstract

ALBERICI, Alejandrina. Gender and university teaching. Approach from an occupational health program. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2021, n.35, pp. 79-87. ISSN 1870-350X.

The attributes around gender are instituted from specific societies that are characterized by building their social relationships from an ideological assumption. The public university, as a social institution, is not exempt from the constructions and gender relations that are at stake in all work areas. The article highlights some manifestations of the gender problem present in the development of university teaching in two senses; in relation to difficulties encountered by female teachers for the development of their own career, and in relation to situations of violence for reasons of gender perceived subjectively. Finally, it refers to union intervention as an instrument to transform the scenarios in which this problem unfolds.

Keywords : gender; university teaching; collective action.
