Abstract

MACIAS, Arianne Medina et al. Construction and validation of the questionnaires to study telework/distance work. Psicol. Am. Lat. [online]. 2021, n.35, pp. 89-104. ISSN 1870-350X.

The aim of this study is to construct and validate through expert criteria two parallel questionnaires to study telework/distance work. Two versions were designed, one for workers and one for managers. The categories are: knowledge, working conditions and results, competencies and job satisfaction with telework. A sample of seven experts participated as judges in the content validation and 43 university professors, of which 14% were managers, participated in the pilot study. A 100% agreement was obtained on the parallelism between both versions and the coherence of items - categories and a content validity index between 86 and 100%. The pilot study confirms the effectiveness of all answering alternatives. These results suggest that both versions, when updated, will be effective instruments to study telework.

Keywords : telework; distance work; content validity; validation by expert criteria; percentage agreement; content validity index.
