Resumo

The text makes theorical considerations about the film “Talk to Her”, directed by Pedro Almodóvar (“Hable con ella”, Espanha, 2002), based on the works about the relation between life instinct and death instinct, written by Freud. Therefore, it correlates these concepts to the psychoanalytic practice at the intensive care unit, adding some case reports in order to illustrate better these questions.
