Abstract

The author emphasizes in this paper the developments in psychoanalysis due to the contribution of Lacan’s teaching, although, she recognizes that many obstacles always present in the psychoanalytic treatment. It is said that the priority of the psychoanalytic process used to be the work with the metaphoric side of the symptoms but still nowadays this kind of work remains necessary but as point to surpass in order to lead the process in the direction to the real. The analytical work is taken here in a clinical perspective giving importance to the management of the discourses. The author tries to show the effects due to the analyst discourse. Her attention focuses in the specificity of this discourse and she remarks that there is a function of impossibility that permeates the rotation of this discourse. The analyst’s discourse recognizes the impossibility of analyzing everything; there is always something that evades from the discursive capture. We can state that this is the real. Psychoanalysis has as fundamental aim nowadays, this remaining which is called the a object. The impossibility of naming this object opens a space to the new not only in field of the subject but also in the field of culture.
