This article takes M. Foucault´s concept of biopolitics on review, in order to specify it´s actuality and particularities on contemporary discussion of medical and psychological treatment. S. Freud´s concept of "original helplessness" is also taken on discussion, mostly because of it´s connections with the problem of medical treatment and subjectivity. In order to show that the work of the psychoanalyst has it´s own determinations on this context, the concept of analytical act is also taken on discussion.
