This text came from thinking about my role as the sport psychologist in Instituto Rugby para Todos. Social project that helps children and youth in the community Paraisópolis, located in Sao Paulo. The proposed methodology to our work has to use rugby as a complement to formal education. The Rugby is a sport that has unique characteristics related to culture and philosophy of play. Using the educational potential of sport requires the assistance of different areas and must be worked in an interdisciplinary way. The role of sport psychologist in the social project is still emerging and needs more references. The professional in this context has to know the environment of action, take a look at more extended to issues that involve other disciplines to achieve consistent results.
