The communitarian psychology had the more significant gain when it removed its attention from the mental suffering of the institutional system and reinforced the attention in the disease giving it back to its natural context, the community. Then, the creation of the Public Health and the paradigms that orient its practice: the traditional, which had and still has the infectious model like logical support, and the one of collective health, that implies an enormous advance in the field of health but has a serious obstacle: it is fundamentally of medical nature, attribute that has the particularity of when approaching reality metabolizing it medically. From the beginning of the present century one starts to observe the emergence of new paradigm: the one of communitarian health. The differences of these three paradigms are analyzed and some questions with respect to the formation of the health professionals considered.
