This article discusses the succession and the transmission of the culture in the Community of the Mangueira, searching for understanding in which way the relations among the main citizens implied in this action are structured.. It takes as unit of analysis The Cultural Center Cartola, and, for existing plot, examines the link with those responsible for the Scholl of Samba the First Mangueira Station. The study identifies two inheriting families of the project of the Samba in the Community and verifies if they relate to institute the leaderships of Samba in that community. It finishes by identifying the genealogy of this succession from two women - D. Neuma and D. Zica, recognizing as their heiresses have continue the action of these matriarcs, and point to a fraternal rivalry, that gives structure to this relation, as a locked plot, making similar helical movement to human genetic DNA
