Abstract

PERUCCHI, Juliana. On Law Proceedings: A Critical Perspective on the Traditional Concept of Family in the Realm of the Brazilian Legal Psychology. Psicol. pesq. [online]. 2010, vol.4, n.1, pp. 03-14. ISSN 1982-1247.

The social and familiar context of justice intervention, referring specifically to the interfaces of investigation and actuation of Legal Psychological is the focus of the present article. This is a theoretical essay which questions issues related to the notion of family in the juridical range and proposes a critic to the perspective of the Psychology that acts only as an applied science, complementary to Law. The analyses supports that this actuation and research field in Psychology must improve, taking into consideration the multiple tensions that constitute the family relationships, over and above the traditional model of family, which is based on patriarchal parameters long since questioned.
