This research, conducted in Juiz de Fora - MG, aims at verifying the prevalence of body dissatisfaction among local High School students and the correlations between variables (gender, type of school - public or private -, satisfaction score) and physical activity. It was found that gender and type of school seem to have greater influence on body dissatisfaction than physical activity, and that girls are more dissatisfied than boys, as well as students at private schools are more dissatisfied with their bodies than public school students.
