We discuss about the settling of a scientific culture within Argentine Psychology Programs. It is analyzed the contribution of French experimental psychology and Paul Fraisse's work to this cause. It is explored the incidence this scientific approach had at the Psychopedagogic Research Institute of the National University of Cuyo (San Luis, Argentina), where a peculiar psychology program was created in 1958. We characterize the connections between the french experimental program, the Paul Fraisse's work, and the Plácido Horas' institutionalization work at the Institute and the Psychology Program, in the period of 1956-1972. Psychology as a personality and behaviour science is highlighted as the main model resulting at this institution.
